Don't freak out. It really is still us.
Our rag-tag-fleet is almost two years old and our message board, The Quorum, is filling up with members faster than Tory can push the airlock button. That's an insane achievement for a group that doesn't even believe in doing fan tables at conventions. What's being done about this growth? Basically, the most sensible thing that can be done. We're gonna roll the hard six on crowding.
Effective May 31st our Quorum will be switching over to a system of OPEN / CLOSED REGISTRATIONS. The goal is to give everyone a chance to get to know our frisky new recruits before we welcome the next batch of motherfrakkers into our home. We want to look around and recognize everyone on the board. Right now, nuggets are flooding our gates faster than the rescue off New Caprica. Even Joe's Bar is running out of empty seats.
TCF has never been about recruiting for the sake of getting bigger. The reason for this website is to provide Battlestar Galactica fans who became friends in person a way to stay connected online. If you're here seeking mainly episode discussions (instead of costuming, frak parties, conventions, or meeting BSG fans in general), then there are many other forums who do a hell of a lot better job than we do. Check out Sci-Fi.com or Battlestar Blog.
We know growth is inevitable. We know it's because we've got a good thing going. We're only slowing down a bit so we can catch our breath. The Quorum will be back open for registration on July 28th. See you then.
