Did you enjoy your coffee, lieutenant?

Here's how it works. Got an episode review? Stick in Episode Reviews. Got media (audio/videos/pictures) about BSG? Goes under Mark One Eyeball. Posting about anything else related to the show itself, including the actors and production crew? Belongs right here in Combat Information Center. Don't get caught with your pants down discussing these things somewhere else!

That reminds me, I posted this up in the Cylon theory thread....but I whatched Disk 6 of S3 yesterday, when I was thinking of Cylons, when it came to me, mabey theres 13 Cylon models? Just a random thought I had, because 13 colonies = 13 Cylons? 12 Colonial Colonys, 12 Cylon models, + Earth Colony = 2 unknown Cylon models left? And then here I wrote this down, and on the BSG special last night, I think it was RDM, that mentioned "The 12 Cylon models we know of". Like, what, mabey there's even yet another one we don't know about? Just a thought. tongue.gif

Wow, I never thought about the possibility of more than 12... I'll have to rethink everything now!

I like the theory... my counter-argument however as I always tend to have one would be that the beginning of the season 4 shows they are showing the "one will be revealed" suggests to me there is only more to reveal to us.

Not to go off subject but I know this was being discussed in this thread...

Not really a spoiler but this is an image from tonights episode (it doesn't give anything away) but just incase If you don't want to see it, don't scroll down:

As we can see in this image STarbuck does indeed still have her tattoos as you can see on her left arm. We were discussing if anyone noticed if her tattoos were there and also about her bone fractures.

it is possible! I'm also trying to figure out who is in the top right corner of the picture... I highly doubt it is but it almost looks a bit like Leobin... we'll find out tonight!

Maybe only one will be revealed in this half of season 4? They can save a 13th for the second half!

no, but i'm not sold on a 13th cylon. infact I'm almost certain there isn't one. With the amount of episodes left, the amount of loose ends that need to come to a close, the reveal of the 12th cylon, etc.... I really don't think there is the time to do a 13th cylon and make it of any value. its possible but I would bet we won't have a 13th cylon revealed

I've been saying "Ship of the Light" since she disappeared to begin with ... I wasn't about to except that she was gone.

However .. I'm also pretty sure we're never going to get an answer as to where she came from with that new Viper .. its just going to have happened. It would be out of line and tasteless to just give us all the answers for this show , I'm hoping that we get what we've been promised and this is the ultimate "revelation" but I certainly hope there is always going to be something to look back on and wonder about.

For Sale: One pristine viper , fresh off the yard, one carefull owner since new, still in show room condition, the engines have barely been around the block, the nav comps got nothing in it, has the odd picture of a place called Earth...where ever that is! never seen combat.

for those interested please go see a very perplexed Chief Tyrol, he wants it off his deck, it puts his other beaten and bruised vipers to shame.

Or...Starbuck was resurrected but is not a Cylon. Hey - if they have the technology to make a Cylon so human that it can grow old, having babies, die, etc. and implant memories so well it can't know what it is...? The ship and Starbuck were lost, but the "gods" just made another one. Pattern buffer...what?

Devildog, that was my first thought too. Unless he xrayed her, they wouldn't know if her fingers still have old fractures or if both her ovaries are in there blink.gif ohmy.gif

Well it's not just that. You have Kara's broken fingers you can check. Her Scar and sundry missing body parts from "The Farm" and also her re-smashed knee from "You can't go home again". Add to that all her various Tats.

If the Cylon wanted to duplicate her they'd have to do alot more than just plop a newly resurrected copy into the fleet, they'd have to make extensive body modifications to the replacement.

I said this before. If Starbuck is a Cylon trick it's the weakest frakkin' plot they've come up with thus far. the Shadowfax Mark II, no nav-data, no astrometric charts, the time displacement, Starbuck with a weak ass back story and no memory of events.

Honestly if they wanted to fool the Colonials into following her into a trap, the Collective could have given her a whole hell alot more to back her story up.

So personally I'm still leaning towards some kind of Ship of Lights theory. That comet Kara mentioned perhaps.

I just assumed the comet she mentioned was supposed to be Halley's Comet. I don't know why I assumed that one in particular, other than because it's the most famous. Since she seems to have passed by Saturn as well as Earth, I suppose she could have passed it anywhere in our system, but I'm sort of hoping she passed it nearer to Earth, which gives reference to what time period Earth is in within the show, since it only comes near Earth every 75 years.

So....

If we consider that they hear the song All Along the Watchtower (written by Dylan in 1967) and assume that Starbuck saw Halley's Comet near Earth, then in the show it must be one of the years 1986, 2061, etc.
